Our Story

From the Beginning

Hello,

SSRC didn’t start out as a coffee company. Ever since I can remember, I’ve watched, experienced and shared my family tradition of making homemade maple syrup here in New Hampshire. Raised in a small town outside of Concord, you may ask how coffee relates to one family's backyard hobby? Being a household of Tea & Coffee drinkers that add cream and sugar to their cups, maple syrup has been a staple part of our morning routine.

I took the concept of flavored coffee and started to wonder how I could join the two together. I began to play around with roasting my own beans, on a stove-top popcorn popper, and stirring in our homemade maple syrup to the bean. Once I figured a way for the syrup to crystallize around the beans, alls that was left was to grind the batch and brew some coffee! After some attempts I had success and created a naturally flavored, smooth tasting maple coffee!

I hope you enjoy the experience of drinking our coffee as much as I do the experience of roasting each and every small batch.

                                                                                                                                                                                                       Chris

Classic Coffee Morning

A simple but beautiful design, I appreciate the art of brewing coffee when I get to use a pour over coffeemaker. Watching the grounds "bloom" before filling the pot with coffee makes me enjoy the process. The pot I use- https://amzn.to/3ALcPJC

Fancy Espresso Mornings

I understand the initial investment, but do your own math on what you spend of coffee at a drive thru. I've used the same espresso machine for years and its stood the test for me. Double shot, splash of almond milk, and some maple syrup is my go-to over ice. Link for the machine I trust-https://amzn.to/3Msqw2M
